Project Scope
Around February of 2024, during some free time in our AP Computer Science class, we stumbled upon the MN Department of Education high school graduation requirements. We were shocked to find that although certain districts do, the state of Minnesota as a whole does not require students to take a computer science/tech course to graduate. As the technology evolves, the use of it is steadfastly expanding out of just CS careers and into every single career path. Enlightened by our discovery and further research regarding technological access and knowledge, we began Tech to Transform to try our very hardest to widen tech access and embolden computer science literacy. As South Asian women in STEM, the issue has also remained of importance to us so as to broaden the demographic within the CS field itself.
